Timeline

While the story begins at the start of Exploration, and ends with Annihilation three hundred and five years later, there are many events which occurred previous that are important, notably being the arrival of the alien Ae'thair to the Prime Galaxy, and the rise of the Crok Empire. The Timeline will expand as the three stories are expanded and more background detail is made available.

• 1 BC - 1 AD : Birth and Death of Christ on Earth
• 1944 AD : The Sah'Villi is killed in an augur incident and dies, replaced by her successor the Sah'Villi concerned with Star Chasers.
• 1952 AD : The Sah'Villi performd the Augur of Forty where she slays forty mighty beasts and beings by herself. The powerful augury tells Sa'Villi to look to another galaxy to find a source of mana that her race is running out of.
• 1979 AD : On the rim, 30^o off the Galactic Core a Warp Gate between the Ae'thair galaxy and the Prime Galaxy is formed. From within its shimmering metallicness ships of the Ae'thair invasion fleet creep through. The first of many.
• 2000 AD : The Sah'Villi joins those in the Prime Galaxy who now control a hundred thousand star systems and continue to expand around the rim and deeper towards the core in search of mana.
• 2013 AD : After many abortive attempts, the leading goverments of Earth have a fully functioning Space Station orbiting earth.
• 2016 AD : First manned mission to Mars a success. Other missions over the years dispell any belief that life existed on the planet. Construction begins on the Luna Base.
• 2020 AD : Luna Base is opened and public interest will see to its expansion and colonisation of the moon. Earth has never been so unified before.
• 2029 AD : Third World Crisis. Over population, rampant outbreaks of the aids virus and other sweeping epodemics originiating from poorer African, Asian and South American Nations causes mass hysteria fueled by the divisions between rich and poor. Continental migrations occur towards the richer lands not seen since ancient times.
• 2031 AD : Faced with no other option against the migrations, sourthern North America, Europe, Israel and the top end of Australia are subjected to nuclear strikes. One and a half billion are killed and vast areas of land turned into waste. Central Africa up to Egypt is essentially uninhabitable. China and India, who held a third of the world population and offered the most migrators are blockaded (all sides have nuclear arms) by the rest of the First World. Both countries are ruined with social disorder.
• 2035 AD : The quarantined zones are lifted, but the Radioactive Zones will remain off limits for hundreds of years, if not thousands. The devestating plagues and starvation in China and India reduce world population down to three and a half billion. The UN is formally disbanded, no one having listened to it anyway and is replaced by a more exclusive but unified Coalition of First World Countries. The Coalition stresses ecological growth, population control and intersteller exploration as a means of protecting Humanity and the Earth.
• 2050 AD : A lone Elder ship comes across some Ae'thair vessels and informs the others. A Delegation is sent and contacts the Ae'thair. For days, both ships watch each other until the Sah'Villi arrives. She initiates visual contact and tries to take over the mind of one the Elder. It is almost successful but her attempt is notices and the Elder break the communication. Sah'Villi expands her power to trap the Elder ship but it escapes with a brilliant release of energy of its own. The Elder convene, as they never have done before to discuss what threat the alien Ae'thair compose. Mars Station is opened, it is primarily a minin station.
• 2052 AD : In secret, a research facility is created orbiting Venus to produce Faster Than Light (FTL) travel possible. Luna Base has swollen to a hundred thousand occupants. New York City, Boston and Washington are all linked by suburbs and the first mega-sprawl has been created. The Coalition nations are becoming increasingly Urbanised as all agriculture is moved under water into Aquatic-Farms and reknewed Quarantined Zones.
• 2055 AD : Open warfare begins between the Ae'thair and the Elder. The Ae'thair, using their mana to overpower the Elder ships and fleets push up to the Veil by the end of the year.
• 2057 AD : The Ae'thair effort staggers to a half as the comsumption of mana outweights the advances made. All attempts to capture an Elder have failed. The Elder too need to recover, having lost many members. Both sides turn their efforts a war of information gathering and skirmishes. It is a Cold War.
• 2074 AD : The Venus Station tries its first FTL flight after producing a model of a theorised propulsion system. The ship is to jump to the other side of the system and rondevous with another ship that has been stationed there. The jump works, the XP01 Einstein appearing a few days from the waiting ship. However, the crew onboard are found dead. The shielding on the engine and ship did not contain the emissions from the jump.
• 2075 AD : Almost a year later, XP03 Newton makes its jump. Instead of going in a straight line (which is through the Sun) an arced route is plotted (around the Sun, the crew of XP01 had been 'incinerated' as they jumped through the sun to an extent). The ship, and the crew arrive safely, a few seconds after their jump. The results confirm that objects such as suns and planets have a presence in Hyperspace and are navigation hazards.
• 2080 AD : The first intersteller ship, the Magellan equiped with the latest FTL drive and equiped with a comprehensive astronautical map jumps out of the system to Earths' nearest star. The goverments wait with baited breath, when two days later the Magellan returns. The discovery is announced to the peoples of the world/system. Soon colonisation will begin.
• 2083-2093 AD : The Decade of Exploration. Dozens and then over a hundred FTL equiped vessels scour the closer regions of the galaxy, a few falling prey to navigational hazards, misjumps or poor equipment. Fifty three thousand one hundred and two star systems are chartered. Eighty habital planets are found with minimal indiginous life. No aliens of any kind are found. During this time, closer habitable worlds and those found early are colonised by the poor of Earth. The rich and well off don't want to leave, and the Coalition doesn't want another migration to occurr. Some see it as Ethnic cleansing and violence starts. It is quickly crushed by the Coalition military however.
• 2100 AD : The Elder, Whoshoe, always one to flirt the laws of the Elder adventures to a jungle covered world. Having reached its Age of Dinosaurs, and wanting a weapon to fight the Ae'thair with, he uses his mastery of genetics to speed up evolution and create sentient beings from the dinosaurs.
• 2106 AD : Another Elder, Ooba, discovers Whoshoe's violations of the Law and takes him into custody. The sentient reptiles, highly advanced in genetics and technology from Whoshoe's databanks while revering the Elder as their God vow to rescue their God from the Evil God (Ooaba). They continue his genetic legacy, with genetherapy becoming religion and GeneScientists the High Priests. A collective organisation based on God worship rises with roles being chosen by genetics. They call themselves Crok.
• 2108 AD : A Crok ship misjumps and appears next to a foreign vessel. They capture it with their superior technology. It is their first interspecies contact (apart with the Elder) and the race is the Manoon Na. The Crok, seeing that they have superior technology, God and Religious advantage, aggressively exert their presence and take over the Manoon Na race making them the first of the Serviles. They start to look for more.
• 2111 AD : Humanity has colonised sixty five planets with small outputs on another two dozen or so. Only two billion people know live on Earth, another five amongst the stars due to high birth rates sponsored by the Coalition. The majority of the worlds were colonised by Second and Third World citizens and they have no love for Earth. Seven world revolt, break away and form the Islamic Confederation.
• 2112 AD : Having never fought intersteller warfare before it takes time for the Coalition to mount a response. Fighting is conventional however and grinds down into a war of attrition. The Crok, encounter and enslave another race. They begin genetic experients on the Servile's decreasing the reliance of creating worker castes out of their own world.
• 2114 AD : When three more colonisation worlds announce their independence, the Coalition admits defeat, it cannot control all the worlds. Each planet signs up to create a Federation of Worlds and sends one representative to speak for their world removing the previous domination of the Coalition. Many on Earth don't want to be a part of the FoW, prefering isolation now that their world is not suffering from major ecological and population problems. Even so, more leave Earth to colonise and search for new worlds. Trade between worlds now becomes the prime motivator, and the Coalition still has the upper hand in that.
• 2120 AD : The Second Civil War starts this time by pro-Earth colonies. It is quickly quelled with the FoW using the first warship to bombard a rebellious planet. Any further thoughts of independence are shelved as planets began to build up arms industries to gain a defense against the FoW military.
• 2121 AD : The Crok expansionist drive aims towards the center of the galaxy. They enctounter the Elder Veil and are unable to defeat it. The ruling class chooses to find a way around the Veil thinking it could not cover every avenue of approach.
• 2130 AD : The FoW's one hundredth world, Boston is colonised. The Crok Empire has expanded to control over three hundred planets and fifty Servile Races, most of them primitive but a few, like the Sun Children exist on many worlds themselves.
• 2132 AD : The Crok Empire lands on and enslaves the O'ckchukan race. The O'ckchuka are fiercly independant and the Crok are unsuited to the dry hot world. A resistance is formed and fighting from the deserts and escarpments cause a lot of trouble for the Crok. Whoshoe escapes from the prison in which the Elder trapped him near the center of the galaxy. Ooaba surmises that he would try to return to the race he created. While he does not find Whoshoe, he sees the Crok Empire expanding and trying to find a way to pierce the Veil. He see's them edlge closer to Human space and devises a plan to stop them.
• 2133 AD : To combat the problematic O'ckchuka, a Crok GeneScientist, S'sa Reih creates the Kongsverrgragrin as stormtroopers to replace questionable Servile soldiers (mostly Manoon Na and a few other minor races). The Kongs are altered from 'ape' stock and make powerful cruel soldiers. The Kongs are soon feared by all the Servile races and S'sa Reih's power increases dramatically.
• 2138 AD: Ooaba gives a Servile Race, the O'ckchuka, a Prophersy and the Prophersy Machine so they will continue to resist against the Crok.
• 2144 AD : Great Cloud forms around the Boston Sector, trapping a dozen colonised worlds and a combined arms division of the FoW military. Both the entrapped navy and FoW ships try to jump through, or penetrate the Cloud via normal propulsion but fail.
• 2145 - 2167 AD : Outrunner elements of the Crok Empire encounter human space, beginning the Crok-Human war that lasts for twenty two years and sees domplete destruction of the FoW, and the enslavement of the remants of humanity after a genocidal war. As the FoW was nearing total collapse it unleased biological weapons against the Crok which while effective, resulted in even worse retaliation from the Crok and the Kongs stormtroopers. The Crok try but fail to penetrate the Great Cloud and return to shipping off what's left of the humans as slaves back to their Empire. A small force remains to overseer the few food and mining worlds still in operation. The force is lead by the Crok S'smoca Uchi and his Kongs lieutenant Hurgash.
• 2147 AD : After groing instability amongst the trapped worlds, the General of the FoW Division after having a 'relevation' takes over five of the planets and creates The Lion Kingdom. In response, the rest of the worlds form the Boston Council and a short war errupts. It ends after both sides realise a long war would destroy both sides completely.
• 2156 AD : The Crok GeneScientist S'sa Reih manipulates the first humans to create an alteration not based on a practical task, but on entertainment value. The results are successful and widely sought after as personal slaves.
• 2173 AD : General Hwang leads a coup against the weakened Lion Kingdom throne, ruled by twin sisters with little interest in the role as leaders. The twins get asylum in the Boston Council and agree to suceed the Kingdom into the Council if they defeat Hwang. Coupled with civilian riots, Hwang is defeated and flees. He is almost captured when the Great Cloud vanishes and jumps to safety. A patrolling Crok vessel picks up Hwang's ships signature and investigates. After destroying Hwang, it learns the existance of the Council and is sent to investigate. After a month it picks up the signature and message beamed by the BCNV Deliberator and follows it back to Boston and into the midst of most of the Council fleet who await news of the mission back into human space. The Council is almost defeated by the single Crok vessel, ten times larger than any of their own ships but manages to disable the Crok ship and it crash lands on Boston thanks to a squadron of Fighters which the Crok ship could not target. The Council diberates the discovery of aliens. They craft a plan to find out, and to seek the fate of humanity.
• 2174 -2179 AD : Restoration
