Races Index
The Prime Galaxy could contain an uncatalogable number of sentient races that
live on the billions and billions of stars. Only the races which contributed
to the story are listed here with a brief outline. Follow the link to a detailed
race page.

- Humans : Descendents of ourselves, inhabitants within
the Great Cloud and survivors of the Crok Empire.
- O'ckchuka : Inhabitants of a rocky, hot world who are
short in stature. Initiated the Servile Rebellion with a prophesy that a
'human' messiah would lead them to victory. Staunch allies of humans and
supporters of the Prime Union. They are excellent soldiers and most join
the military for a tour as part of coming of age.
- Crok : Descendents of
various reptilian creatures on a humid jungle homeworld, created by the
Elder Whoshoe with genetic manipulation. Their class structure fell into
disuse with the slavery of other worlds and mastery of genetherapy to create
tailored servile races. Invaded and almost destroyed the human race. Finally
defeated by the Servile Rebellion, demilitarised and forced to exist in
a small cordon of worlds.
- Manoon Na : A tall thin race with ESP awareness. They
have no eyes or mouth. They were trusted slaves of the Crok and so have
never been fully trusted by the other Servile races, even during the Annihilation
story. They have a innate understanding of 'nature/life force' and some
have been known to manifest surrounding energy physically, similar to mana.
- Ae'thair : A race
from another galaxy they invaded the Prime Galaxy in search for a source
of mana which is their primary source of power. Their religious leader,
the Sah'Villi is the most powerful of the race. Ae'thair have been said
to kill by look alone. Their own galaxy is small and their source of mana
is running scarce, thus the reason for their migration. Female Ae'thair
are known to have wings while males do not.
- Kongsvergragrin : Genetically bred by the Crok from gorilla
stock as shock troops. The Kongs are viscous, dangerous and were greatly
feared by the Servile races throughout the Crok Empire. Humans from the
Great Cloud first encountered Kongs in 'human' space and learnt of the Crok
Empire. After the defeat of the Crok, Kongs turned to piracy but were completely
destroyed by the Patrician Sisterhood.
- Elder : The Elder are not one race but a collection of
individuals or groups of races who are hundreds of thousands to millions
of years old. One does not become and Elder by living forever though, it
is a state of being and achieved through a journey of discovery and self-awareness.
The Elder are not suppose to interfere in other races but several have,
especially during the conflict with the Ae'thair and when one group of Elder
attacked the fledging Prime Union.
- Xxol : A minor Servile race who did their part in the
Servile Rebellion and continue to serve in the Prime Union in accordance
to their percentage of the population.
- Crok Gene Races : The Crok were masters of gene therapy
and manipulation. They experimented on creatures and sentient beings to
create hybrids which could be used for specific tasks such as labour, transport
or entertainment. Such races maintained such of their original temperament
and make-up as the therapy usually increased a certain attribute or raised
intelligence to a more suitable level. Sub-races of humanity were created
in this manner.
- Mu'a'to : A totally in appropriate name given to a race
of crystalline 'golem' shaped beings by a Manoon Na aboard the Star Chaser
(episode XX, Exploration). The Mu'a'to sound
like wind chimes and breaking ice when they move or communicate. They joined
the Prime Union after helping to foil the Ae'thair and maintain the Armageddon Station.
- Bukoniskistunachi : A minor Servile race most noted for
their wandering nature. When enslaved by the Crok they served as ship crews
and within years could be found all over the Empire. With the defeat of
the Crok and creation of the Prime Union, the Buko's as they are called
have become even more prevalent, spreading their culture to every inhabited
planet. The Buko are very family and ancestral orientated, maintaining strong
links to their homeworld.
- Patrician Sisterhood : The
Sisterhood is one of the few anomolies of the Elder. Where as Elder are
hightly unique and individualastic, the Sistherhood is a large group of
Elder, about two dozen who share a Mind Mentality. Originally a Religous
Order, the Sisters acheived 'Elder' status as a group and continue to maintain
their previous form of existence.
